Business Location and Facilities
Phoenix Community Transport is located on two sites in Penmaen, Pontllanfraith. The depot, a former council yard, includes a fully equipped workshop with a vehicle lift. There is also secure storage for our vehicles.
The office, which covers operations and administration, is a short walk from the depot on Penmaen Small Business Centre.
The location has excellent road links with other parts of the county borough making it easy to respond to situations needing service support. When needed the Service Support Vehicle and/or a replacement vehicle can be sent out with the minimum of fuss in order to support a variety of operational situations.

The FuturePhoenix Community Transport intend to consolidate its position as the premier accessible transport provider in the County Borough setting our current high standards as a base level. Funds have been applied for to start two new projects. One in the Markham – Argoed – Hollybush – Manmoel area and one in the Oakdale – Croespenmaen – Aberbeeg – Crumlin area. The services created will provide transport to these isolated areas which are also areas of high depravation. The new services will also link in with each other and the Runner which currently operates in the Upper Rhymney Valley. Links have been forged with other CT operators in the vicinity with a view to the provision of a seamless service in the Heads of the Valleys area. Phoenix Community Transport can bring sound operational experience to the partnership backed up by our successful operation of the Runner project on behalf of Caerphilly County Borough Council. Phoenix Community Transport will continue to promote improvement through staff training and support and by maintaining a quality service to our passengers. Phoenix Community Transport will continue to forge partnerships and links with other operators as well as voluntary and statutory organisations in the area and will seek to play an active part in the community in which we work. |
